Type 316L Stainless Steel Coil, Strip and Sheet

Type 316L Stainless Steel Coil – Strip – Sheet (annealed) is a low carbon austenitic, chromium-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel with general corrosion resistance similar to Type 316, but with superior resistance to intergranular corrosion following welding or stress relieving. It is suggested for use in certain corrosive environments for parts that are fabricated by welding that cannot be subsequently annealed. Parts made from Type 316L are generally limited to service temperatures up to 800 F.

Melting Range:  1850-2050 F / 1008-1120 C

In Annealed: Tensile Strength KSI, Min. 70,000 with Yield Strength of 25,000 and elongation of 40%
